How a Cleanse Reduces Inflammation From Joint and muscular pain.

Reset Spring Cleanse begins April 21st to April 27th.
April is a great time to practice a spring cleanse with nutritious foods for nourishing the body and relaxing the mind.
One of the benefits of a cleanse is reducing built up inflammation in the body, regulating your blood sugar from eating high sugar diet, and boosting the metabolism to give you more energy. These elements combined bring relaxation to the nervous system.
The purpose of a cleanse is to clear the body of foods and chemicals that can be causing sensitivities or allergic reactions. They get stored up through the winter from physical and mental stagnation i.e. less activity, dry heat, less circulation moving through the body.
Stress in your daily lifestyle can induce inflammation causing joint pain, muscle stress when you’re not even thinking about it. When we are stressed, the hormone cortisol is released and cortisol triggers inflammation which can lead to joint pain or other types of physical pain.
Inflammation is a response to heightened tissue damage resulting from a physical injury, exposure to environmental toxins, infections or other types of stressors. Another aspect of increased inflammation that affects women during perimenopause or post-menopause stages is estrogen.
Estrogen has been known to have anti-inflammatory effects and during those stages when it is rapidly decreasing in the body, inflammation increases and becomes more acute triggering symptoms of arthritis , infections or cancer.
In major studies, it is estimated that one in five North Americans are diagnosed with a form of arthritis, and there are over a hundred different arthritic conditions. The most common are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Osteoarthritis is ongoing and is often associated with a breakdown in joint cartilage that’s linked with inflammation most commonly affecting the hips, knees, back, neck, hands and feet.
There are numerous ways in which we can manage the pain and reduce the inflammation by being more selective of the foods we eat, moving daily and the lifestyle choices we make.
“Many women think of food simply in regard to what registers on the scale, food can be the most effective, cheapest and safest medicine for restoring health” says Marcelle Pick, OB/GYN NP of women to women..com “Eating foods which contain nutrients and which calm inflammation can help with joint pain”
Eating natural plant-based foods can protect your body against cellular damage and in this case ongoing damage to the joints.
